Wardrobe - 7/30/2009 3:36:00 PM

Does anyone have a good idea for a wardrobe? I would like to store winter clothes away during the other months and don't have any closets to do so. Space available would be partially finished basement (with carpet) that can be a bit moist if we get a lot of rain. Want fresh smelling, with no mold, and no pests. I know I can go to Ikea, but just wondering if there were other ideas out there. Thanks!

You can use the nice tight sealing plastic tubs for your clothes and place a few of the cedar pieces you get to put in your dresser drawers to keep them smelling good. You can also use dryer sheets if you put them on top of plastic in the top of the tub don't let them rest against clothes as they can stain some things. If moisture is still a concern, you can purchase containers of silica gel looks like sand at a crafts store and create pouches (a couple of knee high nylons put together, filled with silica and tied off) of gel to absorb any excess moisture. It is the stuff they put in pill botttles to absorb moisture. Just don't let kids or animals get hold of it. They have warnings of the containers.
